Author's Guide
Thank you for considering submitting your manuscript to the Journal of Information Technology, Management, Behaviour, and Analytics (JITMBA). This guide provides essential information and instructions to help ensure that your submission meets the journal’s requirements and standards.
1. Manuscript Preparation
1.1 General Requirements
- Language: Manuscripts must be written in English.
- Originality: Submissions must be original, unpublished works and must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere.
- Word Count: Research articles should be between 5,000 and 8,000 words, including references, tables, and appendices.
- File Format: Manuscripts must be submitted in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format.
1.2 Manuscript Structure
The following sections are required for all submissions:
- Title: The title should be concise and informative, clearly reflecting the article's content.
- Abstract: A structured abstract (200-250 words) summarizing the research objectives, methods, key findings, and conclusions.
- Keywords: Provide 4-6 keywords that represent the content of the article.
- Introduction: Clearly state the research problem, objectives, and significance of the study.
- Literature Review: Provide a review of relevant literature, including key theories, models, and previous research.
- Methodology: Detail the research design, data collection methods, and analytical techniques used.
- Results: Present the research findings clearly, using tables and figures where appropriate.
- Discussion: Interpret the results, highlighting their implications for theory and practice.
- Conclusion: Summarize the key findings and suggest areas for future research.
- References: Use APA 7th edition citation style for referencing all sources.
1.3 Figures and Tables
- Figures and Tables: Include clear, high-resolution figures and tables where necessary. Each figure or table should have a descriptive caption and be referenced in the text.
- Format: Figures must be provided in JPEG or PNG format; tables should be editable and included directly in the manuscript.
- Placement: Indicate the preferred placement of each figure or table within the text (e.g., "Insert Figure 1 here").
2. Submission Process
2.1 Submission Platform
- Manuscripts should be submitted electronically via the journal's online submission platform at [Journal Website].
- Authors are required to create an account to upload their manuscripts and track the submission process.
2.2 Plagiarism Check
- All submissions will undergo a plagiarism check using plagiarism detection software. Manuscripts with high similarity (more than 20%) indices may be rejected immediately.
2.3 Peer Review Process
- The journal follows a double-blind peer review process. Both the authors and reviewers will remain anonymous.
- Manuscripts are reviewed by at least two independent reviewers.
- The review process typically takes 6 to 8 weeks.
3. Ethical Guidelines
3.1 Author Responsibilities
- Authorship: Only individuals who have made substantial contributions to the research should be listed as authors.
- Conflicts of Interest: Authors must disclose any financial or personal conflicts of interest that could influence the research or its interpretation.
- Data Access and Retention: Authors must be willing to provide raw data related to their research if requested during the peer review process.
3.2 Ethical Considerations
- Research Involving Humans or Animals: Manuscripts reporting research involving human or animal subjects must include a statement confirming that ethical standards were met and that proper approvals were obtained.
- Informed Consent: Authors must ensure that participants in studies gave informed consent for participation and that privacy rights were observed.
4. Article Processing Charges (APC)
- IDR 500,000 for domestic (Indonesian) authors
- IDR 250,000 for members of the Asosiasi Sistem Informasi Indonesia (ASII) as the first author
- 50 USD for international authors (outside Indonesia)
5. After Acceptance
5.1 Proofreading
- After acceptance, the authors will receive a proof of the article to review for any final corrections. Authors are expected to return corrected proofs within 5 days.
5.2 Open Access
- JITMBA follows an open-access policy. All published articles are freely available to the public immediately after publication.
5.3 Copyright
- Authors retain the copyright to their work. However, by publishing in JITMBA, authors agree to grant the journal a license to publish, distribute, and reproduce the article under the terms of a [specific license, such as Creative Commons].
